Enabling children to explore, learn and grow in nature

We provide experiences which enhance the learning and well-being of
young children in Wales.

Welcome to Nature Child - Croeso i Natur Plentyn
Our activities weave together the key elements of the New Curriculum for Wales, forest school practice and a creative approach to mindfulness and growth mindset, creating a robust, varied and unique approach to teaching and learning.
We deliver authentic, hands-on experiences which inspire, motivate and enable young children to succeed. Our activities provide a holistic approach to integrated learning and facilitate the development of the four core purposes.

Learning in Nature
Nature Child works with local primary schools, children’s groups, parents and carers, to deliver cross-curricular, outdoor learning experiences that give children and adults the opportunity to engage with the natural world and themselves.
Our aims are to inspire and motivate children so that they learn in an active and joyful way; increasing achievement and resilience and to promote well-being in our community.

Our Wild Spaces
We provide an inspirational wild space that optimises the benefits of outdoor learning.
Our ‘nature classroom’ includes an ancient woodland, meadow, bog and river; enabling children to develop their understanding of and respect for their natural, local environment.
An area of outstanding natural beauty, it provides sanctuary, inspiration and connection with nature, for the benefit of children and adults alike.
